My Books Every Day | Grades K–5

Connect Students to Books. Connect Families to Schools.

My Books Every Day is a books-to-home literacy program that encourages a personal connection to reading while nurturing the relationship between families and schools.

Distribute Books. Develop Students.

Students are 2x as likely to achieve literacy success when they have just one book in the home.1  My Books Every Day sends 5 books home with each student along with book-specific student, family, and teacher resources for a full 360° impact.

  1. Manu, A., Ewerling, F., Barros, A. J. D., & Victora, C. G. (2019). Association between availability of children’s book and the literacy-numeracy skills of children aged 36 to 59 months: Secondary analysis of the UNICEF multiple-indicator cluster surveys covering 35 countries. Journal of Global Health, 9(1).

"When students have access to a larger number of books in their home, their reading motivation is higher, their attitude toward reading is more positive, and reading competence increases."

Engage Students & Families with One Program

My Books Every Day gives students and families the tools to make lasting personal connections to reading and learning.

Build Lasting Connections to Stories

Students complete book-specific activities and reflect on each theme they've read about, both individually in student journals and in interactive classroom activities.

Empower Family Voice

A Family Guide provides rich book-specific talking points so families can continue book conversations at home, whether they've read the books or not. Families also receive the tools to recognize important literacy milestones.

Enhance Family Outreach

Ongoing school-home communication is seamless with My Books Every Day’s pre-written family literacy messages that invite families to respond and foster two-way communication.

"What students learn at home provides an essential foundation on which schools can build. Without it, neither students nor schools can reach their full potential."
