This process engages students, teachers, and administrators as equal collaborators who actively participate in the creation and development of products by sharing their lived experience, expertise, and ideas.

As a Scholastic Innovator, you will:
Co-Design Education Solutions
Play an active role in the product development process. This can look like being a part of the initial discovery phase for a new program, testing prototypes of new or improved educational tools and participating in design workshops.

Who can apply to the Innovation Lab?
Teachers and administrators in Grades PreK–8 are welcome to apply for the Innovation Lab at this time.
How do I find out if I’ve been accepted to the Lab? What should I do next?
Keep checking your email! You will find out you have been accepted to the Lab via email. The email will invite you to join our Slack channel, and you will begin to receive our newsletters and invites to events. If your grade level or subject area matches with a research opportunity, you will receive an invite to either take a survey or apply to participate in a study.
What is the time commitment of being a member of the Innovation Lab?
We know educators have jam-packed schedules, so it is really up to you! We will send you relevant research opportunities that you can choose to apply to if you have the bandwidth. If you have free time, you can increase your participation by engaging in Slack and attending events!
What types of research opportunities are there?
They vary. We conduct one-on-one conversations, prototype walkthroughs, co-design workshops, quick surveys, and more.
How can I connect with other members of the Innovation Lab?
We have over 3,000 members who are excited to meet educators across the United States and Canada. The best way to connect with other members of the Innovation Lab is on our Slack channel! You can also connect by attending events and participating in group workshops.
